Queen to be Honored at Event

The Queen will be honored with an award at tomorrow’s Black Trans* Brunch in Rochester, New York.

The brunch is part of Rochester Black Pride, a festival that works to create an “all-inclusive Black atmosphere to celebrate, empower & inspire the Black Queer/LGBT community in Rochester.” The Black Trans* brunch, in its second year, is an event to network and empower black transgendered women and men.

Queen Marie-Adélina I, 32, a transwoman, gave an inspiring and empowering opening speech at the inaugural brunch in 2017. Two months later, she gave her Crown Assent to the Trans Violence & Employment Protection Act, guaranteeing protections and prohibiting any discrimination against transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.

The Royal Court has confirmed Her Majesty will be accompanied by Her Highness The Princess de Bainnet.
