Legialle Prepares for Queen's Official Birthday
It will be the first celebration for Her Majesty, who will be 32 this year.
An official holiday, The Queen’s Birthday will be celebrated as a three-day bank holiday beginning 17 May. Queen Marie-Adélina will release a statement that day, as well as receive some congratulatory letters and messages. The Palace has also confirmed she will be granting letters of nobility and letters of knighthood as part of her Birthday Honours.
The Queen has also taken up a fundraiser throughout the month for a local agency. La Fête de la Reine is a monthlong fundraiser. With a goal of $200, proceeds will benefit the Center for Youth’s ‘By Their Side’ campaign, a macronational initiative to support LGBTQ homeless youth. The fundraiser will conclude with a ‘tour’ of the various local pubs in the East End and Neighborhood of the Arts districts of Rochester, NY on Saturday, May 26th. The tour is opened to those who donate $5 or more.
The Palace has confirmed The Court will travel with Her Majesty to New York City, where she will stay during the holiday weekend.
