International Women's Day in Legialle
Celebrations are being held throughout the country.
International Women's Day, celebrated on the 8th of March, commemorates the sociocultural and political achievements of women.
Her Majesty took to social media earlier this morning to celebrate this day. Using a collage of various women of color, including trans activists Janet Mock and Munroe Bergdorf, Princess Marie-Adélina wrote of her foremothers who were "objectified, subjugated, and brutalized," but nevertheless defied the odds. "Their blood runs through my veins."
A motion was made this afternoon during a session of Crown Council, where a proposal was made to allocate funds for future activities. Though a vote has yet to take place, the Council is nevertheless committed to the achievements of women both at home and abroad.
